Cabin closed for winter

Montana cabin is closed for the winter. We had a good time this year as I was able to go up more than once like the year before. This is an older picture we did not have quite this much snow. We surprised the mother in law with a new fridge. She didn't even notice it on the trailer behind us an hadn't a clue until I rolled it in. This was the weekend before last and a very quick trip.

This weekend was a little more relaxing as we stayed in Boise Friday night and went to the library sale. Got some new reading material. Then Saturday we did some chores here than went to the Idaho City place. The weather and trails were perfect. Maybe the last ride up there this year. Snow is a comin soon I can feel it. Sunday we hiked our two and a half hour loop. We should be snow shoeing it soon.

Should pass the 2000 mile mark on the commuter bike tomorrow. Kind of a big deal for me. The Titus is at 700 miles and the SS has been really neglected this year at 168. I still haven't been riding the Schwinn as much love the bike just not as practical as the San Jose.

No picture weekend

Usually I take allot of pictures over the weekend. For some reason I didn't this weekend. We did go on some nice walks with Sky. And I got a few things done around the house. Pretty boring, no bike riding. I generally don't mountain bike during the general rifle hunt. Too many low IQ people with firearms drinking beer etc. Rather stay alive a little bit longer. Next weekend we close the Montana place. Lots of work to do but, will still manage a hike or two.

Nice Weekend

Saturday I rode with the spin group. I did not take pictures as I was having enough trouble keeping myself upright and going. It was forty degrees and a twenty four mile an hour wind. The tail wind at times was great. Rode forty eight miles.

Sunday has been fabulous warmer and less wind hiked in the foothills with Paula (wife),Jill, and our dog Sky. The weather was great and not allot of people. I also took Sky out in the morning in her new trailer. She is still not that keen about it but, is getting better.

Trail work, and such

Spotted Knapweed
Hiked and biked around the Idaho City place this weekend. The recent rains made the trails perfect and the weeds pulled pretty good. We have decided that no one else is doing anything about the weed problem and some of the trails I ride are so remote that I just plan on stopping for a break in an infested area and pull as much as I can. After hunting season I will take my bicycle trailer out and pick up all the beer cans. The trails were pretty clean before people started scouting for game. There is a steady trail of Coors lite in the deer creek/elk creek area. I also managed a motorcycle ride first time I have ridden off road in about a year felt pretty good. Don't think I will make a habit of it as I like the quietness of mountain biking better. Good weekend all around. Well if you see this nasty weed please help get rid of it and pull it.
Thanks
