More riding

Paula has been in Montana for the weekend and I have been riding all the trails in Boise. Well about half of them about 68 miles in two days. Just really enjoying the rides and not feeling any pressure to go race pace, intervals, speed work, heart rate threshold, just flowing with the trails and enjoying the fall weather. Didn't take any pictures if you want to see where I rode you should have been out there. There really haven't been that many people out. Either they are all busy or burnt out on the trails. I ride all over and it was a lot of fun riding the trails in the Boise front as I don't ride there too often. Actually don't feel I have ridden off road much this year. Bought a used set of wheels from Keith Hickerson today don't think they are much lighter but they have better bearings and less spokes look cooler.

Your posts and pics make me wonder if I'm out of my mind for moving to Illi-freakin'-nois. I'm not there yet but I will be. I lived in Missoula for many years (went backpacking a few times in the Sawtooths) and before that Salt Lake City. Wasatch Mountains, Bitterroot Mountains... and then central Alaska before returning to the Lower 48. So long as I can get my fiancee to do plenty of backpacking out west, I just might be able to handle living in the middle of corn. I guess when I long for the mountains, I can live vicariously through posts like yours!

I lived in Michigan befor moving out here I liked it did a lot of bike riding as a teenager there. Later in the Army I did two years up and down the east coast. Found many adventures out there even hiked a bit of the Appalation trail with my Army comapany.
